The drawing machine is inspired by Jackson Pollock's action painting. Pictures are created by dripping paint through an electric pump. Pollock was known for his technique of dripping paint with precision. The drawing machine, which operates based on numerical control, symbolizes accuracy.
Additionally, this work incorporates random numbers that differ from typical computer-generated randomness. The machine makes seemingly useless movements apart from the act of drawing, causing the tube extending onto the canvas to become tangled or dragged. The uncontrolled movement of the tube spreads the dripping paint across the canvas.

ジャクソン・ポロックのアクションペインティングから着想を得て制作したドローイングマシン。 電動ポンプによる塗料の滴下によって絵を描いている。 ポロックは雑に塗料を垂らしているように見えて正確に塗料を飛ばす技術を持っていたという事実から、数値制御に基づいて動くドローイングマシンそのものが正確さを象徴している。
さらに、この作品ではコンピュータの乱数を用いたランダムさとは別のランダムさを扱っている。 装置は絵を描く行為とは別に無駄な動きをする。 それによって、支持体の上に伸びているチューブが支持体の上で絡まったり引きずられたりする。 プログラムでは制御することのできないチューブの動きによって、滴下された塗料が支持体に塗り広げられる。
